* The SATURDAY MORNING EDITION *
"Our most inaccurate one of the week..."
Here is an alphabetical list of currently known applicants, with updated information:
- Dolmere Talamasca :: Status - Active (Latest news) - Position Paper!
- Erbo Evans :: Status - Active (Latest news) Party alignment revealed!
First, a campaign manager (of which the staff at The Inside Scoop® fully approves) is named, and now this? The Second Life Grand Old Party (SGLOP) is born! Dude, they have a logo and everything! "Our values are something of a throwback to an earlier time, as reflected in our party mascot, the mighty Tyrannosaurus rex dinosaur." We have a feeling that's even older than old school. Oh yes, the campaign trail is certainly heating up over at the Evans camp and we're pretty sure it won't stop until somebody loses an eye.
- Iron Plato :: Status - Active (Latest news) Official announcement!
- Raul Crimson :: Status - Active (Latest news) Official announcement!
- RedDawn Bade :: Status - Active (Latest news) Official announcement!
- Rejeanne Cannoli :: Status - Active (Latest news) Campaign poster!
- Romana Wei :: Status - Active (Latest news) War on Danger!
- Samantha Poindexter :: "For integrity! For freedom! For wildly unpopular causes!" So begins the SLelections 2007 political career for one Ms Poindexter. Finally a female candidate we can relate to as keeping it real. If you read between the lines (and quote them out of context) you can see what we mean: "I love Second Life. ... I hate Second Life." That's not a man, baby! Nope, strictly female, who knows what she wants: "...my first act would be to change my title to Queen of Second Life." Refreshingly honest, no? If The Inside Scoop® were to endorse one candidate only (instead of all of them) we have a feeling this might just earn our vote: "...well, let's just say that I love my SexGen bed and leave the particulars for when my campaign needs a boost, shall we?" Moreso, we feel her official announcement speaks directly to us, when it states: "I like vanilla ice cream." We see this candidate going far into the primaries, people, I'd place your bets now (except not at an SL casino which causes lag! - Ed.). We say, even if you do not choose to support this candidate, at least buy a t-shirt.
- Shoshana Epsilon :: Status - Active (Latest news) Campaign poster!
- Tateru Nino :: Status - Active (Latest news)Official announcement!
- Tiana Merriman :: Status - Withdrawn
- Tiessa Montgolfier :: Status - Active (Latest news) The Hummingbid Address!
- Tyffany Flintoff :: With the immortal words of: "I'm most unused to being overlooked!" another candidate throws the hat into the campaign ring, and this one's grabbing the SL world by the balls! (We feel literally, with such campaign promises as: "...I shall govern this world as I see fit and my word shall be final.") More political rhetoric, why can't she just say what she means?! And she does. Two new slogans to appease the masses: "Second Life - Do Whatever you Damn Well Please" and "Second Life. Your World. Your Imagination. My Rules." surely there is something in there for everyone? The Inside Scoop® will be paying close attention to this worthy competitor, especially in case any new campaign posters are released...
- Timothy Lilliehook :: Status - Active (Latest news) Official press release!
- Vint Falken :: Status - Active (Latest news) Health Care Reform!
- Zoe Connolly :: Status - MIA (Latest news)
The Inside Scoop® - Where no news, is news to us.
DISCLAIMER: If this was real, do you actually think we would be posting about it on our blog?

Dear Mr. Paine, we are once again glad to see that you already found our latest press release. This release states the important things for our party and what we stand for.
I want to make it clear, that we not only want to represent the neko community, but all citizens in dire need for love and cuteness. Everybody is welcome and we will happily discuss our program with interested citizens.
For the benefit of your readers, let me point out a couple of new developments. First, SLGOP have released the first radio spot ad of the campaign, which may be downloaded here. Second, we are holding a candidate "meet and greet" event tonight at The Gin Rummy at 8:00 PM, to coincide with a concert by the great bluesman Forsythe Whitfield. Come out, enjoy some great music, and meet the man who is destined to lead Second Life to stability, prosperity, and greatness. Thank you, God bless you, and God bless Second Life.

Thank you for the writeup!
I'm currently putting together an in-world campaign headquarters and a blog, and I look forward to the weeks to come with keen anticipation.
I would also be most pleased to be interviewed, were you so inclined.
